On the sixth day, G-d created all the other animals… and put a divine soul into a body which He made of earth and clay. This was the human.
To the human G‑d granted high mental ability to think and reach one’s own conclusions. G‑d also gave the human the power of speech and He made humans superior to all other creatures of the earth.
I’m sitting here, waiting for the right words to come.
My mental ability sometimes allows me to share, with others, the way I perceive myself and the world — with words.
Like all humans, I have experienced my share of pain and grief, which often can be perceived through my writing.
Though some of it is not always visible. Words are finite, afterall.
The brain serves as a filter, and some things are not even apparent to me.
Keeping a journal, blogging, and sharing our story helps me move forward with the grieving process.
Whatever method works to uncover the grief, eventually sharing what we find within will empower us to continue the journey toward wholeness.
It is this ability to share with words that makes us human. And it allows us to connect more deeply with others.
When I can reveal my fears and discoveries through words, I give other humans a glimpse into my mind and Divine soul.
As each of us awakens spiritually in our own unique ways, accepting what may be hidden beneath the surface, we can return to innate wholeness in a gentle, loving, and respectful way.
On this day, with the help of my Higher Power, G-d, I will continue to use the tools of recovery to help me to get in touch with my inner spark of Divine love and healing.
Because I am human. A Godly soul with a physical body. And that’s why I’m here.
